What you will be able to do
Hear and use the everyday sentence-final particles so that what you say carries the tone you actually meant.
Seven particles beyond ครับ/ค่ะ do the tone work: นะ softens, น่ะ sets the topic, สิ pushes, ล่ะ follows up, ละ marks a change, เหรอ is surprised, เถอะ proposes. Mood particle first, politeness particle last.
The commonest mistake is treating นะ as…
นะ (ná) softens the CONTENT of what you said; ครับ/ค่ะ mark your relationship to the person. They are different jobs. Drop the politeness particle and ไม่เอานะ becomes something you'd say to a child, not a vendor.

Keep both, in order: mood particle first, politeness particle last — ไม่เอานะครับ (mâi ao ná khráp).
ไม่เผ็ดนะครับ — the นะ makes it…
Without นะ, ไม่เผ็ด reads as a specification. With it, you are asking a favour of the cook: not spicy, please.
อันนี้น่ะครับ (น่ะ with falling tone) means…
น่ะ (nâ, falling) sets up the topic you are about to talk about: this one, the one I mean. It is NOT the softening นะ.
นั่งสิครับ — สิ is…
สิ (sì) is the little push behind an offer: นั่งสิครับ — have a seat, go on. Warm between equals, pushy aimed upward.
ทำไมล่ะครับ — ล่ะ here means…
ล่ะ (lâ) on a question word means you are following up on something just said, not asking cold: ทำไมล่ะ — but why?
แล้วคุณล่ะครับ means…
แล้วคุณล่ะ (láew khun lâ) — and you? The standard way to hand a question back after you have answered it.
ไปละนะครับ — ละ marks…
ละ (lá) marks the change of state, นะ softens the leaving: ไปละนะ — right, I'm off now. Note ละ is a different word from ล่ะ.
จริงเหรอครับ — เหรอ carries…
เหรอ (rǒe) carries surprise: จริงเหรอ — really? Aimed at something a person just told you about themselves it reads as doubt, so a plain เหรอครับ is safer there.
กลับบ้านเถอะ — เถอะ proposes…
เถอะ (thòe) proposes something you will both do: กลับบ้านเถอะ — let's head home. Friends and family, not your boss.
แพงจังเลย vs แพงมาก — the difference is…
แพงมาก (phaeng mâak) reports a fact. แพงจัง (phaeng jang) is you flinching at the price. จัง is reaction/feeling.
ไม่แพงหรอกครับ — หรอก does what?
หรอก (ràwk) corrects an assumption the other person has just made: ไม่แพงหรอก — it's really not expensive. Usually heard as làwk in fast speech.
ขอน้ำเปล่าด้วยครับ — ด้วย here is for…
Add ด้วย (dûay) whenever you are tacking a request onto an order already placed: and plain water as well. If it's your first request, use หน่อย instead.
บอกแล้วไง — ไง means…
ไง (ngai) says the answer was already available: บอกแล้วไง — I did tell you. Fine with friends, sharp with anyone else.
Common mistake
Treating นะ as a politeness word and letting it replace ครับ/ค่ะ. It does not: นะ softens the content, ครับ/ค่ะ mark the relationship. Keep both, in order: ไม่เอานะครับ.
